What We Believe

OUR BELIEFS

The following are the beliefs of Crosswalk Community Church - SD, founded on the timeless truths taught in the Bible and in agreement with the Assemblies of God.

Everything we teach, practice, and pursue as a church is rooted in Scripture and flows from these foundational biblical doctrines.
We believe there is one eternal God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, both visible and invisible, and alone is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchanging — the same yesterday, today, and forever. God has revealed Himself to humanity through His Son, Jesus Christ, through the Holy Scriptures, and through creation itself.
We believe that humanity, both male and female, were created in the image of God for His glory. Adam and Eve, the first humans, were created without sin and were entrusted to care for God’s creation. However, when they chose to disobey God, sin entered the world, breaking fellowship with Him and bringing brokenness to all creation. Since that moment, humanity has lived in need of redemption and restoration.
We believe that Jesus Christ came to reconcile humanity back to God. He lived a sinless life and willingly gave Himself on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Through His death and resurrection, God offers the free gift of eternal life to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation is found in Christ alone and is received by grace through faith.

We believe the Church is the visible body of Christ on earth, called to glorify God, love people, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. As followers of Christ, we are commissioned to live out our faith with compassion, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to judge both the living and the dead and to establish the fullness of God’s Kingdom forever. Until that day, we remain committed to living faithfully, sharing the hope of the Gospel, and pointing people toward a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
